Exploring New Waters and Chasing Chrome

Fishy Fridays

By Tight Fly Lines

Hey [FIRST NAME GOES HERE],

What a week! 😅

I launched the Essential Spring Fly Fishing Guidebook and kicked off my first giveaway—and if you're new here, welcome! A lot of you are reading Fishy Fridays for the first time, and I’m glad you’re here.

Every Friday, I share a quick roundup of my favorite fly fishing content—highlighting great creators, cool stories, and anything that gets me fired up about fishing. On Tuesdays, I send The Drift, where I take a deep dive into one major trout food you’re likely to run into on the water. Next week’s issue? A big one about a small bug—Chironomids. I learned a ton researching it, and I can’t wait to share.

Looking back on this week, I just feel grateful. One of my biggest hopes for Tight Fly Lines was to create opportunities for real connections in the fly fishing community. And I can feel it starting to happen. The stories, questions, and messages you’ve sent have been incredible—and I’m even meeting up with a new fishy friend for lunch today. My fishing calendar is filling up fast, and I can't wait to hit the water and connect with more of you in the months ahead.

But I don't just want this to be about connecting with me—I’d love to help you all connect with each other, too. I believe it’s possible to create something special here, something that brings this community closer together. If you have ideas for how we can do that, shoot me a message. I’ve got a few ideas brewing myself, and I'd love your thoughts.

Alright, let’s dive into some great fishing content. Tight lines!

His perspective really resonated with me, and I think you’ll enjoy his write-up.
